Is it legal to hire private investigators in NSW? Yes. Investigators must hold a Class 2E security licence from NSW Police and work for a master licence holder. The work has to stay within the law: no trespass, no accessing private records unlawfully, and no listening or tracking devices without the consent the law requires. That is how we work, and it is why our evidence holds up.
Will the person know they are being investigated? Surveillance is covert. Unless the job involves taking statements or making enquiries, nobody is contacted and nothing is disclosed.
How much do private investigators cost? It depends on the job. Surveillance is charged by the hour with a minimum booking; most other work is quoted as a fixed price up front. Call us and we will give you a clear figure before anything starts.
Can your evidence be used in court? Yes. Our reports, statements and footage are prepared for exactly that, and our investigators can attend court if required.
